Screenwise presents Marcus Graham Intensive

From E-Street to David Lynch to Shakespeare...

Marcus Graham Intensive
"Freedom with the Confines"

Marcus Graham is one of Australia's hottest Film & Theatre actors.
Marcus shot to fame in E Street playing 'Wheels' and from there he went on to star in theatre and film - and then to the U.S. where he had his own TV Cop show. Recently he played "Lewis Caine'' in Underbelly and is currently on stage with Bell Shakepeares 'Pericles'.

Marcus knows only too well the difficulty an actor faces in finding freedom within the confines of fllm & television. In this master intensive students will explore performing on a large scale and then reducing their performance over and over again while still retaining the intensity and the magic that makes their performance standout.

This exclusive intensive will run over 2 nights. 1 and 8 Sept | 6.30pm - 930pm | Cost: $295

Places are limited.

Contact Sam on 02 9281 4484 or info@screenwise.com.au to register your interest.

Connecting The Dots…

On the 9th September 2009 leading artistic figures, renowned thinkers and environmental pioneers will come together to sign a State of Global Emergency Declaration in London on 999 Day – the same number used to call the UK’s emergency services.

The ambition is to shift global consciousness and evolve thinking in the greatest call ever made to Humanity to really start co-operating and create an economic, environmental and spiritual recovery plan for the sustainable management of Earth’s resources.

To carry this message beyond 999 the Lifeline Project will send 9 teams, each comprising 3 documentary film-makers from London, New York and Sydney on an epic 18,000 mile journey to arrive on 10.10.10.

COUNT THE CHASE

Dedicated to offering support to independent short film filmmakers the Caught Short Film Festival continues its screenings of selected Australian shorts. On July 2nd the Tap Gallery in Darlinghurst will screen a collection of shorts stamped with diversity of topics including two Sydney Film School student films.

'You Can Count to Ten' by Stephanie Bridger and ‘Chasing Mel' by Peter Ireland are two of four documentaries selected to screen at next month’s Caught Short’s Film Night.

'You Can Count to Ten' is an account of a new art movement spreading through Australia. Part doco, part collage, Stephanie Bridger’s inspiring film is an upbeat insight into a growing phenomenon.

In 'Chasing Mel' Pete Ireland delves deep into his family history in an effort to prove (or disprove) the old family legend that they share blood with internationally renowned actor Mel Gibson.
